We were excited to capture the wedding of Lisa and Matt earlier this year at the stunning The Old Kent Barn (Kent Wedding Award’s winning Venue of the Year 2017/18).

Lisa and her ladies got ready in the beautiful beamed loft suite at the venue and hair and makeup by Alexandra Roberts of Make Me Sparkle was well underway.  The Bridesmaids were looking fabulous in Royal Blue and Lisa gorgeous in her fitted dress from WED2B.

We caught up with Groom Matt and his best man who arrived to check all was well before changing into their suits provided by Slaters (who were winners of KWA’s Menswear Retailer of the Year 2017/18).

The room looked beautiful and the organisation and communication of the staff at The Old Kent Barn flawless as usual – it’s no wonder the team got the award!

The mood was terrific, but the weather was starting to look worryingly grey!  Lisa and Matt managed to fulfil their plan of marrying under the gazebo in the manicured landscaped garden and we successfully gathered all guests for a group shot before the heavens seemed literally to open….. and this went on, on and on… right until the end of their meal and then the sun came out as if nothing had happened!!

We whisked Lisa and Matt around the grounds and mingled with the guests for a few shots in the now sunny gardens.  Their friends and family were a joy to photograph and we were made very welcome.

Later Lisa and Matt took to the floor to have their first dance as Husband and Wife and we left them all to dance the night away by DJ Chris from Discologic.

Despite the very odd weather, an amazing day was had by all – myself and Duncan included!
