Emma and Matthijs

Lympne was THE most perfect setting for the Wedding of Emma and Matthijs.  With the couples love of Game of Thrones, Emma’s love of Harry Potter and Matthijs love of medieval re-enactment, it was the only place to be.

We arrived with Emma and the girls to find a great team of Hair and Makeup artists in Clare Lake and Nikki Humbles, two ladies we have worked with many times over the years so we knew all would go to time and plan for the prep part.  It was a lovely chilled morning and before we knew it, it was time for Emma to pop on her fabulous dress complete with stunning cape all from The Bridal Way- wow!

Heading down to catch up with Matthijs and his Groomsmen, we found him practicing the owl ring delivery ahead of the ceremony.  The fantastic addition added to the theme and atmosphere.

A fabulous ceremony in the panelled room, overlooking the stunning vista outside, went without a hiccup and soon we were back out into the sunshine on the terrace to capture some photographs of the couple and their families, their Bridesmaids, Ushers etc as well as some gorgeous shots of the couple around the fabulous grounds of the castle.  Including under their very own flags designed for the occasion.

The couple entered their wedding breakfast through a sword and confetti arch (of course!) and headed to their Wedding Breakfast room decorated beautifully with nods to Game of Thrones throughout and a fabulous cake by The Cake Junction adorned with a dragon and wolf – almost too good to eat!

I left as the couple danced the night away surrounded by friends and family – a great end to a very special day!
