“Situated in the Kent countryside, the BarnYard is a haven for those wishing to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The venue, known as one of Kent’s best and most beautiful wedding venues, also incorporates a day-time restaurant. Nestled in the heart of the Kentish countryside surrounded by 150 acres of stunning landscape combining rolling hills, natural woodland and romantic apple and pear orchards to wander around, The BarnYard is an enchanting setting for the most memorable day of your life.”
Jane and Edward’s wedding took place in the charming Apple Barn in the Barnyard grounds, an ideal spot for intimate ceremonies and magical twilight weddings.
Jane and her bridesmaids enjoyed a delightful morning at The Green Farmhouse, a lovely local bed & breakfast. But don’t be misled by the usual b&b stereotype — this place is truly breathtaking!
“Green Farmhouse is a former Farmhouse built in the 16th century, set in the Rural Kentish Village of Lower Halstow on the edge of the River Swale. The property was once a farmers dwelling until 1881 when it became the local Brickfields Manager’s accommodation until 1966 when the brickworks closed since then it has been an Antique shop then a private home until it was purchased by Chris and Carol Haines in 2014 and after a 2 year restoration it has now opened its doors as a Bed and Breakfast accommodation. This period property has many beams throughout and it is thought that the framework of the building was produced from broken down ships timbers claimed from the nearby Chatham Dockyard. It is said that King Charles II planted the Mulberry tree in the Garden while passing through Lower Halstow on his way home to London, having landed at Queenborough.”
After Jane and Ed’s beautiful wedding ceremony, we all basked in the lovely sunshine, indulging in delicious canapés and drinks in the cozy private area just outside. We then gathered for some group photos and captured a fabulous confetti shot with the sun beginning to set behind the happy couple, resulting in some stunning pictures. Next, we whisked the couple away for some private moments in the enchanting apple and pear orchard, bathed in the golden evening light.
A fantastic day was had by all.
