Kirsty and Mat
The Ferry House Inn

The Ferry House Inn is a beautiful 16th Century Country Public House situated at the edge of the Swale Estuary on the peaceful Isle of Sheppey, it is secreted away among a picture-perfect landscape of wild meadows and natural wetland reserves. Secluded yet accessible just 60 minutes from London, the Ferry House Inn specialises in refined rustic weddings, with guest accommodation and expansive menus using homegrown, family-farmed and locally sourced produce.
Having already met Kirsty and her family whilst photographing her brothers’ wedding, we knew this one was going to be special. Leopard and dog mad, it was lovely that Kirsty & Mat’s gorgeous (and very excited!) dog got to join them on the day too.
Kirsty looked stunning and Mat super smart and they chose the wonderful surroundings of Ferry House Inn as their venue. The coordinator on the day was fantastic and so helpful – the day ran without a hitch.
Kirsty and Matt wanted to venture down to the waterside and on their hot wedding day, it was great to get down there with a bit of a breeze. The Ferry House Inn has some lovely spots and the shady areas were so welcome for the group shots.
Magician Etienne joined the couple to perform table magic during the wedding breakfast and, as usual, had guests in stitches with his fantastic magic tricks – and the chat that comes with them! During the reception, the couple had a bouncy castle which got plenty of use and made for such good fun for all.
Kirsty and Mat, thank you for having us along and for inviting us to spend more time with your lovely families. I’m hoping to see you all at another family gathering in the future – Bring it on!!
