The Ceremony
Our favourite moment of the ceremony was when the doors to the Chandelier Suite opened, and we saw each other and all our friends and family in one room. All the build up to that point made us very excited and emotional.
We asked two of our friends to do readings and asked them to find something that made them think of us – they chose ‘The Giraffe and the Monkey’ (by Daniel Thompson) and ‘Bubbles’ (by Rachel Bright).
The Personal Touches
We both love dancing so choreographed a dance into our reception room and put a few lifts together for our first dance which the guests loved!
We are real foodies, so all the tables were named after our favourite local restaurants, and we love our puzzles so asked our guests to sign a wooden jigsaw puzzle as an alternative to the traditional guest book.
The Photography
Louisa and Duncan Dettmer were our wedding photographers, who we actually found through A Kentish Ceremony magazine! We instantly felt at ease with Louisa and Duncan from the moment we met them and really liked their style of natural photography. They really listened to the photos we wanted, and we had so much fun with them on the day.
As well as the formal shots, we wanted lots of natural, candid photos. It’s clear to see from the photographs that Louisa and Duncan certainly captured the happiness and love we felt on the day.
The Highlight
Our highlight of the day was being on the dancefloor alongside our favourite band and loved ones. The live music brought everyone together and the dancefloor was packed all night.
