The Weald of Kent is a beautifully maintained 18 hole parkland golf course & hotel set in rolling Kent countryside with far reaching views, just a short drive from Maidstone & Ashford. With over 20 years of successfully hosting wedding receptions and civil ceremonies, you can be assured of a professional, friendly and flexible service to make your day one to remember. The Weald of Kent is a delightful and picturesque wedding venue, offering fantastic photographic opportunities.
Beth and Tom were married at The Weald Of Kent Golf Club. We had shot at the venue before, but not for a while and we were very pleasantly surprised at the changes and updates to the ceremony and garden reception areas. It was a lovely space which would be later filled with happy chatter and the sound of everyone having a lovely time.
On our arrival, Beth and her girls were so relaxed and looking gorgeous with hair by Lauren Mummery and makeup by studio19beautybladesmakeup. Before long it was time to get dressed and the girls and I witnessed an emotional reveal with Beth’s Dad seeing her for the first time in her dress. With happy tears dried it was time for us to catch up with the boys downstairs in the bar.
Tom looked super smart and, accompanied by his boys and there were laughs all round whilst Tom waited to be called through to the Ceremony room.
The Ceremony was beautiful and after we spent some time with the couple and their families in the heat of the afternoon sun hunting down some shade. Friends and family were great to be with and The Weald of Kent grounds were just right for plenty of shots with the couple without having to take them far from their guests.
As the couple took their seats for the meal in a room beautifully decorated by The Creative Venue, their cake by Willow Cakes in Ashford looked delicious in the corner ready to be cut just before the couple took to the dancefloor for their first dance.
A little evening shot under the fairy light canopy and a few of the guests partying on the dancefloor finished off our coverage and I made my exit as BeeJay entertainments got the party well and truly started.
Beth and Tom, thank you for having us along on your day – it was a pleasure to be there with you and we hope to be back at The Weald of Kent soon!
